Personal Training

At PT-Troop, Personal Training is our bread and butter! People come to us for many different reason and use us in many different ways.

We are a big part of some people’s daily routine – they come to us before or after work on a daily basis and love the fact that we think up their training routines so they don’t have to worry about anything other than doing it.

Other people use us once only for a program writing session, in order to make the most out of a new gym membership (wherever that is), or to get ready for and event or challenge.

Our philosophy is very simple, and very effective. We work with you intensively on your diet, ensuring you are armed with all the knowledge you need to make the right choices in between your sessions with us. We will find the right mix of training that works for you – ensuring you minimize your risk of injury, and maximise the results and progress towards your goals.

Unlike other companies in Bristol, we do not promise “fast” weight loss. We strongly believe it would be unethical and unhealthy to do so. The speed of weight loss achieved on TV series like The Biggest Looser, is frankly dangerous. The heart and other organs need time to conditions themselves to new rigors, and the results achieved are more likely to be a result of muscle loss, including the muscles of the heart. With us, we aim to loose FAT, in a SUSTAINABLE, HEALTHY way.

We also encourage people to train in small groups of friends and family. Many other companies will tell you this is not an effective way to train – we disagree. We also make it a cost effective way to train by charging the same for each session no matter how many people attend.
