A clean sweep of personal bests on the 5k watt bike challenge at #ccsportcentre for Team Burnside. Firstly Steve, on the video with 7:11, knocking 7 seconds off a long standing PB.
Then Aileen at 8:58 smashed her record by 20 seconds.
Fraser then came very close to his dad at 7:12, beating his best by 12 seconds. A good session!

Monty Python’s own Mr Creosote, aka Len Collacot, doing trap bar deadlifts at #ccsportcentre.
A bad virus, and the odd “wafer thin mint” have conspired against his fitness since December.
However when asked what weight he would like this morning he said “I’ll ‘ave the lot,” and lifted 100kg on the bench press before this lift of 163kg on the trap bar.
Onwards and upwards for this OAP, at 63 years old lifting multiples of his age (if not his current weight).

Great leg session last night at #ccsportcentre with Sian and Charlotte. 6 sets of 20 squats and calf raises. 10 sets of clean and press - either 10 reps or 60 seconds. 3 sets of straddle jumps and step ups. Good effort!

Another stunning day with Chris. 15 miles of sea kayaking from Lulworth Cove to St Albans head and back. Goes to show how mentally and physically prepared you have to be though. Within seconds of switching off the first video we are in 2ft, unpredictable waves caused by a rip current and over falls.

First #adventureswithtomandchris in 2018. Lulworth Cove to Osmington Mills and back - 14 miles of sea kayaking.
Chris turned 80 last Sunday. It’s no accident he can keep doing this though - he trains 6 days a week at #ccsportscentre. His normal routine is 30 mins of #cardiofitness then 30 mins #strengthtraining then 30 to 100 lengths of #swimming.
